Waylon Richmond

Waylon S. Richmond is a Pittsburgh-born artist, musician, and young architect who is very active in the city’s cultural scene. He is a senior at Pitt, majoring in Architectural Studies. Growing up around practicing artists has made him appreciate how effective art can be very influential, and his concern for the environment makes his ideas both creative and highly relevant.

Abigail Meloy

Abigail Meloy is a senior majoring in the History of Art and Architecture and Marketing, and minoring in Museum Studies. During her time at Pitt, Abigail has participated in the New York City Field Studies and has held a variety of arts-related internships, including positions at the Belvedere Research Center in Vienna, Austria; Quantum Theatre; Carnegie Museum of Art; and the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.

Emily Morris

Emily Morris is a senior History of Art and Architecture major, minoring in French and Museum Studies, while also working towards a certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She became fascinated with the intersection of art, religion, and politics after taking art history and European studies courses in high school. Emily plans to pursue a graduate degree in art history and eventually work in the curatorial department of an art museum.

Jack Weinfeld

Jack Weinfeld is a junior from Westchester, New York, majoring in Architectural Studies with a minor in Studio Arts. He began his formal architectural educationin high school through a series of electives, and was awarded a certificate for outstanding achievement in architecture upon graduation. Jack is currently enrolled in the Honors Design Studio 3, working on a sustainable housing development for Pittsburgh’s Strip District. This is Jack’s second time presenting at HAAARCH!!!.

Anna Thomas

Anna Thomas is a Senior pursuing a dual degree in Architectural Studies and Civil Engineering with a minor in Studio Arts. Her interest in architecture initially started with a design course but has since been cultivated by her work in building information modeling, construction management, green building and integrated project delivery methods. This summer, Anna will travel to Berlin, where she will complete an internship with an architecture firm.

Audrey Miller

Audrey Miller is a senior, majoring in Architectural Studies with a minor in Studio Art. After briefly exploring several majors within the social sciences, education, and studio art at two different colleges, she finally decided to make the University of Pittsburgh her educational home and pursue the field that combined all of her interests, architecture. Since May 2016, Audrey has served as an intern at a custom cabinetry and woodworking shop, Schlaegle Design Build Associates, Inc.

Cristine O'Brien

Cristine O’Brien is a senior at Pitt, majoring in Anthropology and History with a minor in Museum Studies. Her academic interests include management and preservation of archival materials and museum collections. She plans to spend the next year or two working in libraries as an intern along with volunteering, and afterwards hopes to attend Pitt’s Master of Library Science program for archives and information sciences.

Rose Hawk

Rose Hawk is a sophomore from Charleroi, Pennsylvania, and a History of Art and Architecture major. She is especially interested in Pittsburgh’s art and history museums and the city’s wide variety of architectural styles. Rose’s interest in architecture started after taking a class in high school, where she designed and built a scale model of a two-story home. She is very interested in modern architecture and how the ideals of particular locations and periods have shaped the way that buildings have been 

Blanche Tarabrella

Blanche Tarabrella is a sophomore majoring in Architectural Studies with a minor in Dance. At the outset of her college career, she thought she wanted to be an engineer, but after taking Drew Armstrong’s modern architecture course and studying abroad in Central Europe with him, she fell in love with studying architecture. Blanche is originally from Middleburg, Florida, but has family roots all over western Pennsylvania.

Bryan Trew

Bryan Trew is a senior in the Architectural Studies program. His four years at Pitt have given him a diverse set of experiences, including the chance to work on a project for a sustainable housing community in Kathmandu along with a journey to France, to study the elements of space, power, and memory at the Palace of Versailles. Bryan will be attending Carnegie Mellon University for his masters of architecture in the fall working towards his goal of becoming a practicing architect.
