Cristine O'Brien

Cristine O’Brien is a senior at Pitt, majoring in Anthropology and History with a minor in Museum Studies. Her academic interests include management and preservation of archival materials and museum collections. She plans to spend the next year or two working in libraries as an intern along with volunteering, and afterwards hopes to attend Pitt’s Master of Library Science program for archives and information sciences. Cristine’s work as a volunteer for the Edward O’Neil Research Center of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and as a student worker for Hillman Library’s Special Collections has allowed her to develop her interests further by learning archival and museum conservation methods. At HAAARCH!!!, she will be presenting her Fall 2016 museum internship at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum involving general day-to-day tasks along with her main project of cataloging and organizing the Civil War book collection.
