Grace Kelly

Grace Kelly is studying History of Art and Architecture with a minor in Spanish and a certificate in Latin American Studies. Her interests lie in the globalization of the art world and specifically how “peripheral” nations are represented in different exhibition contexts. She is currently doing her Honor’s Thesis on “Issues of Art Representation and Historical Interaction: Latin American Art Exhibitions in the U.S. and the U.K in the 1980’s.” She has received the opportunity to conduct research in New York City through the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences New York City Field Studies Program, and received the Honor’s College Off-Campus Research Award for this summer. As well as these research opportunities, Grace is currently part of the PACES: Encounters program that is creating an art exhibition with students from the Science and Technology Academy. She wishes to complete a Fulbright upon graduation, and to eventually attend graduate school before becoming a curator. In her spare time she enjoys watercolor painting, running, and cooking.
