Karen Lue is currently a junior, majoring in History of Art & Architecture and Economics with a minor in French. She is aspiring towards a career in museums and hopes to ultimately obtain a curatorial or director position. In Summer 2013, she was awarded a Brackenridge Research Fellowship through the Honors College to continue working on her project concerning sexual ambiguity and gender identity in Auguste Rodin’s sculpture, "The Hand of God," under the direction of Professor Kirk Savage. In Fall 2013, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Visual Media Workshop on "Itinera," an interactive website that visually presents data on cultural tourism in the 18th and 19th centuries, and served as a Teaching Assistant under Professor Gretchen Bender for the Introduction to World Art course. She is currently working as a curatorial assistant for the "Visions and Revelations" exhibition at Point Park University that features juried artists from the National Association of Women Artists. Her broad interests include public art, race, and minority issues.
