Lisa Canavan

Lisa Canavan is a senior double majoring in Studio Arts and Art History with a minor in Museum Studies.  After working in business and raising a family, Lisa returned to college part-time to pursue a lifelong interest in the arts.  Connectivity and the natural world are themes that inspire her artwork and art historical studies.  She greatly enjoys her academic pursuits and has been twice recognized as a university scholar.  Lisa is currently interning at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh digitizing and cataloging the Pittsburgh Photographic Library Collection, from which she is also curating an exhibition called Men’s Work/Women’s Work, which will be shown in the Gallery@Main.  After graduation, Lisa plans to pursue her own artistic interests along with volunteering in the art field.

 

At HAAARCH!!! 2019, she will be presenting research in the PechaKucha style on artist Rachel Rose’s Lake Valley installation shown in the Carnegie International along with Sarah Hamilton and Rose Hawk.
