Maria Hernandez

Maria Hernandez is a junior pursuing the B.S. degree in Architectural Studies and is minoring in Studio Arts. She originally started as a biology major taking art classes “for the soul”, but after hearing about the Architectural Studies program, she decided to investigate more. Upon  realizing that architecture was the perfect marriage of both logic and art, she decided to switch her major to Architectural Studies.

Maria spent summer 2018 working as an intern at Fisher ARCHitecture. At the same time, she also had the opportunity to work as an Architectural Educator at Carnegie Museum of Art’s Summer Camp. From last semester to present, she works at Carnegie Mellon University teaching Architectural Exploration Outreach for children. During the summer of 2019, she will continue to work for Carnegie Museum of Art’s Summer Camp program.
