Morgan Powell

Biography
Morgan Powell is a senior in the History of Art and Architecture department, graduating in May of 2021. She is interested in the material elements of memory practices in the visual arts and preserving artists’ archives for future generations. She currently works at the Battle of Homestead Foundation as an archival assistant conserving historic photographs of the Homestead Steel Millworks and other artifacts of local labor history. Under the advisement of Professor Josh Ellenbogen, she is writing her thesis on the Greer Lankton Collection held by the Mattress Factory, where she worked as a research fellow in the summer of 2020.
